I certainly see some parallels.
Congratulations. Knowing that 10 years can be wiped out in the time it takes to swallow, I recognize how precious every one of those 1825 days has been. And how difficult.
Here's to day 1826 and beyond.

I grew up hearing Elvis. I was born 1961.
I am so sorry he had a drug problem.. he was so creative and sweet..
I am so happy you found Recovery... 5 years.. with all the responsibilities of marriage; children; and on and on..
You are Incredible. And you sound GREAT...
It is not just not drinking or doing drugs; but also being what i called Not a Dry drunk.
I'm still improving in my own recovery.. al-anoners can be addicted to control and on and on.. 2.5 years in Recovery now. I hope I'm keep making progress and can tell you when I make 5 years.
