quick saturday post

wow this is weird. i don't normally post on saturday. we are heading out to McPherson for regional business meetings, a girlfriend is celebrating her belly button birthday and i made her a card. not much new i didn't lose weight this week. i gained .2 pounds. i have only hit the gym 3 times this week.

i feel like i have hit a road bump with weight loss. it is harder to feel full. i crave, i mean i CRAVE food. i used to have using dreams and i would wake up going 'oh shit did i get high?!?' grateful that i didn't, now i have food dreams, dreams of pizza and popcorn and carbs. bread and butter... cupcakes, i love cupcakes. i have been to a few parties and took my own sugar free chocolate pudding. jello has these indulgence cups made with splenda and they have 9 or 10 grams of carbs per cup, which by the low glycemic load cookbook is the max you want in a meal. so that is a bit high but safe. i hope.

i really hope to drop my A1C's by september and this is such a struggle. i tell myself when i reach my goal weight and A1C's i can indulge once in a while.

gotta go make a quick breakfast to take on the road. peace!!!

have a great weekend everyone!!!!!

Just try not to get discouraged. Hitting a plateau is pretty common, I think. Have a great weekend!

Sue, there is no cure for diabetes. You can only try to manage it. I like the route you're going though. Unlike everyone else in our family, that seems to be the smarter route. I think anyone who diets has food craving dreams, and you're on the diabetic diet, but it seems that you are managing it well. Take care of yourself, and give the kids a squeeze for me.

i can totally identify. addict does not nessisarily mean just to drugs. i could list alot of things ive been "addicted" to at one point or another, but always food. dont feel alone out there.

I think that happens come to a plateau with weight loss...stick to it though I'm sure it will come off. You've done so well.
I'm with you on cupcakes though....I love cooking them but then can never resist eating them.
Take care. XX

I've had a craving for pizza this week. But decided to have just one piece. Hang in there with the weight loss program. It will get easier.

I know exactly what you mean - I've hit the plateau too. We mustn't give up and try harder eh? :)

The conscience in me says:

"Damn. That wasn't cool. But? I'm right. People are what were meant to be."

I'll stop now.
